Description of Human IL-6 (glycosylated, HEK)
IL-6 Human Recombinant produced in HEK cells is a glycosylated monomer, having a molecular weight range of 26-30kDa due to glycosylation.
Biological Activity
The activity was determined by the dose dependent stimulation of the proliferation of human TF-1 cells (human erythroleukemic indicator cell line) and is typically 0.2-1ng/ml.
Reconstitution
It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized IL-6 in sterile PBS containing 0.1% endotoxin-free recombinant HSA (order number: 2835.958.xyz).
Stability
Lyophilized IL-6 although stable at room temperature for 3 weeks, should be stored desiccated below -18°C. Upon reconstitution IL6 should be stored at 4°C between 2-7 days and for future use below -18°C.For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA, order number: 2835.955.xyz or 2835.958.xyz, or BSA, order number: 2835.919.xyz). Please avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Shipped at room temperature
SDS-PAGE
SDS-PAGE 15% under reducing conditions and visualized by Coomassie blue staining showing a band at 21 and 22 kDa (glycosylated form) |
