Description of Human MIF, His-Tag C-Terminus

MIF human Recombinant, fused to His-tag at C-terminus, was cloned into an E. coli expression vector and was purified to apparent homogeneity by using conventional column chromatography techniques.Macrophage Inducing Factor Human Recombinant is a single, non-glycosylated, polypeptide chaincontaining 123 amino acidsand having a molecular mass of 13.5 kDa.

Biological Activity

Measured by its ability to bind rhCD74 in a functional ELISA.

Reconstitution

We recommend a quick spin followed by reconstitution in sterile water to a concentration of at least 100 µg/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions. Do not vortex.

Stability

Lyophilized MIF although stable at room temperature for 3 weeks, should be stored desiccated below -18°C. Upon reconstitution MIF should be stored at 4°C between 2-7 days and for future use below -18°C.For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA). Please avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
