Description of BMP4 Selective Inhibitor

Enabled BMP4 signaling to be inhibited selectively, which was not possible with Noggin! May be useful for detailed analysis and regulation of BMP signaling, as well as for development of novel cell differentiation processes!

 

Physcial State

Lyophilized from 0.2 µm filtered DMSO solution.

 

Biological Activity

Measured by its ability to inhibit smad1 phosphorylation induced by BMP4 (2.6 ng/mL) or BMP7 (157.5 ng/mL) in A549 cell. Expected IC50 for BMP4 is ~0.3 ng/mL under this condition. Determine optimal concentrations for individual applications.

 

Reconstitution

Reconstitute at 100~200 µg/mL in DMSO. Centrifuge the vial before opening. Rinse the inside of the vial thoroughly with DMSO. Example: a 100 µg/mL solution can be prepared by reconstituting 5 µg of peptide in 50 µL DMSO.
