Description of Human MIP-5 /CCL15 (truncated, increased activity, 68aa)

Macrophage Inflammatory Protein-5 Human Recombinant produced in E. Coli is a single, non-glycosylated, polypeptide chain containing 68 amino acids and having a molecular mass of 7.4kDa.

Biological Activity

Measured by its ability to chemoattract THP-1 human acute monocytic leukemia cells. The ED₅₀ for this effect is typically 2-4ng/ml.

Reconstitution

We recommend a quick spin followed by reconstitution in sterile water to a concentration of at least 100 µg/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions. Do not vortex.

Stability

Lyophilized MIP-5 although stable at room temperature for 3 weeks, should be stored desiccated below -18°C. Upon reconstitution CCL15 should be stored at 4°C between 2-7 days and for future use below -18°C.For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA, order number: 2835.955.xyz or 2835.958.xyz, or BSA, order number: 2835.919.xyz). Please avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
