Description of Human NOV / IGFBP-9

Nephroblastoma Overexpressed Human Recombinant produced in E. coli is a single, non-glycosylated, polypeptide chain containing 331 amino acids and having a molecular mass of 36.2 kDa.

Biological Activity

Determined by a cell proliferation assay using murine Balb/c 3T3 cells is less than 1.0 µg/ml, corresponding to a specific activity of > 1000 IU/mg. range of 10.0 -50.0 ng/ml, corresponding to a specific activity of 20,000-100,000units/mg.

Reconstitution

It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized NOV in sterile 18M-cm H₂O not less than 100µg/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions.

Stability

Lyophilized NOV although stable at room temperature for 3 weeks, should be stored desiccated below -18°C. Upon reconstitution NOV should be stored at 4°C between 2-7 days and for future use below -18°C. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA, order number: 2835.955.xyz or 2835.958.xyz, or BSA, order number: 2835.919.xyz). Please avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
