Description of Human TACI

TACI Human Recombinant produced in E. coli is a single, non-glycosylated, polypeptide chain containing 160 amino acids and having a molecular mass of 18.0kDa.

Biological Activity

Fully biologically active when compared to standard. The biological activity is determined by its ability to block human BAFF induced T2B cell survival using a concentration range of 1.0-3.0 µg/ml corresponding to a specific activity of 334-1000 IU/mg.

Reconstitution

It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized TACI in sterile 18MΩ-cm H₂O not less than 100µg/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions.

Stability

Lyophilized TACI although stable at room temperature for 3 weeks, should be stored desiccated below -18°C. Upon reconstitution TACI should be stored at 4°C between 2-7 days and for future use below -18°C. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA, order number: 2835.955.xyz or 2835.958.xyz, or BSA, order number: 2835.919.xyz). Please avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
