Description of Murine FGF-21
Fibroblast Growth Factor -21 Murine Recombinant produced in E. coli is a single, non-glycosylated, polypeptide chain containing 183 amino acids including N-terminal Methionin and having a molecular mass of 20.1 kDa.
Reconstitution
It is recommended to add deionized water to prepare a working stock solution of approximately 0.5mg/ml and let the lyophilized pellet dissolve completely. Product is not sterile! Please filter the product by an appropriate sterile filter before using it in the cell culture. Add DTT (0.2mM) and NaCl (0.1-0.15M) before freezing to prevent potential aggregation.
Stability
Lyophilized FGF-21 Mouse Recombinant although stable at room temperature for 3 weeks, should be stored desiccated below -18°C. Upon reconstitution Fibroblast Growth Factor 21 should be stored at 4°C between 2-7 days and for future use below -18°C.For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA, order number: 2835.955.xyz or 2835.958.xyz, or BSA, order number: 2835.919.xyz). Please avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
