Description of Murine TRAIL soluble / Apo-2 Ligand

TRAIL Recombinant Murine produced in E. coli is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 175 amino acids and having a molecular mass of 20.2kDa.

Biological Activity

Fully biologically active when compared to standard. The ED₅₀ as determined by a cytotoxicity assay using murine L929 cells is less than 0.5 ng/ml, corresponding to a specific activity of > 2,000,000 IU/mg in the presence of actinomycin D.

Reconstitution

It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized TRAIL Mouse Recombinant in sterile 18MΩ-cm H₂O not less than 100 µg/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions. 

Stability

Lyophilized TRAIL although stable at room temperature for 3 weeks, should be stored desiccated below -18C. Upon reconstitution TRAIL recombinant should be stored at 4C between 2-7 days and for future use below -18C.For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA, order number: 2835.955.xyz or 2835.958.xyz, or BSA, order number: 2835.919.xyz). Please avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
