Description of Human BMP-3
BMP3 Human Recombinant produced in E. coli is a non-glycosylated disulfide linked homodimer containing 2 chains of 110 amino acids and having a molecular mass of 24.8kDa.
Biological Activity
The ED50 as determined by its ability to inhibit BMP-2-induced activity in murine MC3T3- E1 cells.
Reconstitution
It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized BMP3 in sterile 4mM HCl not less than 100µg/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions.
Stability
Lyophilized BMP3 although stable at room temperature for 3 weeks, should be stored desiccated below -18°C. Upon reconstitution BMP-3 should be stored at 4°C between 2-7 days and for future use below -18°C. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA, order number: 2835.955.xyz or 2835.958.xyz, or BSA, order number: 2835.919.xyz). Please avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
