Description of Human Cystatin-A, His-Tag
Cystatin A Human Recombinant produced in E. coli is a single, non-glycosylated, Polypeptide chain containing 118 amino acids (1-98a.a.) and having a molecular mass of 13.1 kDa.The Cystatin A is fused to a 20 amino acid His tag at N-terminus.
Biological Activity
The IC50 value is < 1.0nM. The inhibitory function of CSTA on protease activity of papain was measured by a fluorometric assay using Z-FR-AMC at pH 7.5 at 25C.
Stability
Store at 4°C if entire vial will be used within 2-4 weeks. Store, frozen at -20°C for longer periods of time. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA, order number: 2835.955.xyz or 2835.958.xyz, or BSA, order number: 2835.919.xyz). Please avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
