Description of Human Heregulin beta-1 / Neuregulin-1
Recombinant Human Neuregulin-1/Heregulin-b1 produced in E. coli is a single, non-glycosylated, polypeptide chain (a.a 177-241) containing 65 amino acids and having a total molecular mass of 7.5kDa.
Biological Activity
The ED50 was determined by the dose-dependent stimulation of the proliferation of human MCF-7 cells is less than 0.5ng/ml, corresponding to a specific activity of >2.0×106 units/mg.
Reconstitution
It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized NRG1-B1 in sterile 18M-cm H2O not less than 100µg/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions.
Stability
Lyophilized NRG1-B1 although stable at room temperature for 3 weeks, should be stored desiccated below -18°C. Upon reconstitution NRG1-B1 should be stored at 4°C between 2-7 days and for future use below -18°C. Please avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
