Description of Human IL-24, glycosylated, Yeast
Interleukin 24 human recombinant produced in yeast is a single, glycosylated, polypeptide chain containing 158 amino acids and having a molecular mass of 18 kDa. As a result of glycosylation, the protein migrates at 19.5 kDa on SDS-PAGE.
Measured by its ability to bind to the cell receptor of Capan-1 cells line resulted in Stat-3 activation. The ED50 for this effect is typically 1.0 ng/ml, corresponding to a Specific Activity of 1x106 units/mg.
We recommend a quick spin followed by reconstitution in sterile water to a concentration of at least 100 µg/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions. Do not vortex.
Lyophilized MDA7 although stable at room temperature for 3 weeks, should be stored desiccated below -18°C. Upon reconstitution MDA-7 Recombinant should be stored at 4°C between 2-7 days and for future use below -18°C.For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA, order number: 2835.955.xyz or 2835.958.xyz, or BSA, order number: 2835.919.xyz). Please avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
