Description of Human NNT-1 / BCSF-3

Neurotrophin-1 Human Recombinant (28-225) produced in E.Coli is a single, non-glycosylated, polypeptide chain containing 199 amino acids and having a molecular mass of 22kDa.

 

Biological Activity

The ED₅₀, as measured in a cell proliferation assay using human TF?1 cells transfected with human CNTF R?, is less than 15ng/ml.

 

Reconstitution

It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized NNT1 in sterile 18M-cm H₂O not less than 0.5mg/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions.

 

Stability

Lyophilized Neurotrophin-1 although stable at room temperature for 3 weeks, should be stored desiccated below -18°C. Upon reconstitution NNT1 should be stored at 4°C between 2-7 days and for future use below -18°C. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA, order number: 2835.955.xyz or 2835.958.xyz, or BSA, order number: 2835.919.xyz). Please avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
