Description of Human NT-3 / Neurotrophin-3

Neurotrophin-3 Human Recombinant produced in E.Coli is a non-glycosylated and non-covalently linked homodimer, containing 2x119 amino acid chains, having a total Mw of 27.2 kDa.

 

Biological Activity

The ED₅₀ as determined by the dose-dependent proliferation of C6 cells and is 3.6-5.4?g/ml.

 

Reconstitution

We recommend a quick spin followed by reconstitution in sterile water to a concentration of at least 100 µg/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions. Do not vortex.

 

Stability

Lyophilized NGF2 although stable at room temperature for 3 weeks, should be stored desiccated below -18°C. Upon reconstitution NGF-2 should be stored at 4°C between 2-7 days and for future use below -18°C.For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA, order number: 2835.955.xyz or 2835.958.xyz, or BSA, order number: 2835.919.xyz). Please avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
