Description of Murine Betacellulin

BTC Murine Recombinant produced in E.Coli is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 80 amino acids and having a molecular mass of 9.0kDa.

 

Biological Activity

The ED₅₀ was determined by the dose-dependent stimulation of the proliferation of mouse Balb/3T3 cells is < 0.01 ng/ml, corresponding to a Specific Activity of > 1.0×108 IU/mg.

 

Reconstitution

It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized BTC Mouse Recombinant in sterile 18M-cm H₂O not less than 100µg/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions.

 

Stability

Lyophilized BTC although stable at room temperature for 3 weeks, should be stored desiccated below -18°C. Upon reconstitution BTC should be stored at 4°C between 2-7 days and for future use below -18°C. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA, order number: 2835.955.xyz or 2835.958.xyz, or BSA, order number: 2835.919.xyz). Please avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
