Murine Eotaxin / CCL11 recombinant Protein
Product Details
Synonyms
Small inducible cytokine A11, CCL11, Eosinophil chemotactic protein, chemokine (C-C motif) ligand 11, SCYA11.
Description of Murine Eotaxin / CCL11
Eotaxin Murine Recombinant produced in E. coli is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 74 amino acids and having a molecular mass of 8403.2 Dalton.
Biological Activity
The Biological activity was determined by measuring the dose dependent phosphorylation of ERK1 and ERK2 in CCR3 transfected 293 cells. Significant ERK phosphorylation is observed with >100 ng/ml (corresponding to a Specific Activity of 10,000IU/mg) of recombinant mouse eotaxin.
Reconstitution
We recommend a quick spin followed by reconstitution in sterile water to a concentration of at least 100 µg/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions. Do not vortex.
Stability
Lyophilized Eotaxin although stable at room temperature for 3 weeks, should be stored desiccated below -18°C. Upon reconstitution CCL11 should be stored at 4°C between 2-7 days and for future use below -18°C. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA, order number: 2835.955.xyz or 2835.958.xyz, or BSA, order number: 2835.919.xyz). Please avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Amino Acid Sequence
The sequence of the first five N-terminal amino acids was determined and was found to be His-Pro-Gly-Ser-Ile.
