Description of Murine HB-EGF

HB-EGF Murine Recombinant produced in E.Coli is a single, non-glycosylated, polypeptide chain containing 86 amino acids (63-148 a.a.) and having a molecular mass of 9.8 kDa.

 

Biological Activity

The ED₅₀ was determined by a cell proliferation assay using balb/c 3T3 cells is < 1.0 ng/ml, corresponding to a specific activity of > 1.0×106 units/mg.

 

Reconstitution

It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized Mouse HB-EGF in sterile 18M-cm H₂O not less than 100 µg/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions.

 

Stability

Lyophilized Mouse HB-EGF Recombinant although stable at room temperature for 3 weeks, should be stored desiccated below -18°C. Upon reconstitution HB-EGF should be stored at 4°C between 2-7 days and for future use below -18°C.For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA, order number: 2835.955.xyz or 2835.958.xyz, or BSA, order number: 2835.919.xyz). Please avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
