Description of Porcine IL-2

Interleukin-2 Porcine Recombinant produced in E.Coli is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 134 amino acids and having a molecular mass of 15217 Dalton.

 

Biological Activity

The ED₅₀ as determined by a cell proliferation assay using murine CTLL-2 cells is less than 0.5ng/ml, corresponding to a specific activity of > 2.0 × 106 IU/mg.

 

Reconstitution

It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized IL 2 in sterile distilled H₂O not less than 100µg/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions.

 

Stability

Lyophilized IL2 although stable at room temperature for 3 weeks, should be stored desiccated below -18°C. Upon reconstitution IL-2 should be stored at 4°C between 2-7 days and for future use below -18°C.For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA, order number: 2835.955.xyz or 2835.958.xyz, or BSA, order number: 2835.919.xyz). Please avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
