Description of Rat FGF-9
Rat FGF9 Recombinant produced in E. coli is a single, non-glycosylated, polypeptide chain containing 207 amino acids and having a molecular mass of 23.3kDa.
Biological Activity
The ED50, calculated by the dose-dependant proliferation of BAF3 cells expressing FGF receptors (measured by 3H-thymidine uptake) is <0.5 ng/ml, corresponding to a specific activity of 2,000,000 Units/mg.
Reconstitution
We recommend a quick spin followed by reconstitution in sterile water to a concentration of at least 100 µg/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions. Do not vortex.
Stability
Lyophilized Rat Fibroblast Growth Factor-9 although stable at room temperature for 3 weeks, should be stored desiccated below -18°C. Upon reconstitution FGF9 Rat Recombinant should be stored at 4°C between 2-7 days and for future use below -18°C.For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA, order number: 2835.955.xyz or 2835.958.xyz, or BSA, order number: 2835.919.xyz). Please avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
