Description of Rat IL-1 beta
Interleukin-1b Rat Recombinant produced in E. Coli is a non-glycosylated, Polypeptide chain containing 153 amino acids and having a molecular mass of 17.3 kDa.
Biological Activity
The ED50 was found to be less than 0.1ng/ml, determined by the dose dependent proliferation of mouse D10S cells, corresponding to a specific activity of 10,000,000 units/mg.
Reconstitution
We recommend a quick spin followed by reconstitution in sterile water to a concentration of at least 100 µg/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions. Do not vortex.
Stability
Lyophilized Interleukin-1b although stable at room temperature for 3 weeks, should be stored desiccated below -18°C. Upon reconstitution IL1b should be stored at 4°C between 2-7 days and for future use below -18°C.For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA, order number: 2835.955.xyz or 2835.958.xyz, or BSA, order number: 2835.919.xyz). Please avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
