Description of Rhesus Macaque IFN-gamma

Interferon-gamma Rhesus Macaque Recombinant produced in E.Coli is a non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 142 amino acid and having a molecular mass of approximately 16.8kDa.

 

Biological Activity

The ED₅₀ as determined by an anti-viral assay using human HeLa cells infected with encephalomyocarditis (EMC) virus is < 20.0 ng/ml, corresponding to a specific activity of > 5.0 × 104 IU/mg.

 

Reconstitution

It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized Interferon-gamma Rhesus Macaque in sterile 18MΩ-cm H₂O not less than 100µg/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions.

 

Stability

Lyophilized IFNG although stable at room temperature for 3 weeks, should be stored desiccated below -18°C. Upon reconstitution Interferon-gamma Rhesus Macaque should be stored at 4°C between 2-7 days and for future use below -18°C. Please avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
