Description of Rhesus Macaque IL-16
IL 16 Rhesus Macaque Recombinant produced in E. Coli is a single, non-glycosylated, polypeptide chain containing 121 amino acids and having a molecular mass of 12.5kDa.
Biological Activity
Fully biologically active when compared to standard. Determined by its ability to chemoattract human CD4+ T-Lymphocytes using a concentration range of 50.0-100.0ng/ml corresponding to a Specific Activity of 10,000-20,000IU/mg.
Reconstitution
It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized IL-16 in sterile 18M-cm H2O not less than 100µg/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions.
Stability
Lyophilized IL-16 although stable at room temperature for 3 weeks, should be stored desiccated below -18°C. Upon reconstitution IL-16 should be stored at 4°C between 2-7 days and for future use below -18°C. Please avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
