Description of Human PF-4 (CXCL4)
Recombinant Human PF-4 (CXCL4) produced in E.Coli is a 7.8 kDa single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 70 amino acids.
Biological Activity
The ED50 of 5-15 µg/ml was determined by its ability to inhibit human FGF basic dependent proliferation of NR6R3T3 mouse fibroblasts.
Reconstitution
We recommend a quick spin followed by reconstitution in water to a concentration at least 100 µg/ml. Do not vortex. This solution can be stored at 2-8°C for up to 1 week or in working aliquots at -20°C to -80°C. Working aliquots should be at the highest practical concentration. For long term storage we recommend to add at least 0.1% HSA (order number: 2835.955.xyz or 2835.958.xyz) or BSA.
Stability
Lyophilized Human PF-4 although stable at room temperature for 3 weeks, should be stored desiccated below -18°C. Upon reconstitution PF-4 should be stored at 4°C between 2-7 days and for future use below -18°C. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA). Please avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Amino Acid Sequence
The sequence of the first four N-terminal amino acids is Glu-Ala-Glu-Glu-Asp.
