Description of Murine Cardiotrophin-1, CTF1
CTF1 Murine Recombinant produced in E. coli is a single, non-glycosylated, polypeptide chain containing 202 amino acids and having a molecular mass of 21.3kDa.
Biological Activity
The ED50 as determined by the dose-dependent proliferation of TF-1 cells was < 1.0ng/ml, corresponding to a specific activity of > 1,000,000units/mg.
Reconstitution
It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized CTF1 in sterile 4mM HCl to a concentration of 0.1-0.5 mg/ml. Stock solutions should be apportioned into working aliquots and stored at <-200C. Further dilutions should be made in appropriate buffered solutions.
Stability
Lyophilized CTF1 although stable at room temperature for 3 weeks, should be stored desiccated below -18°C. Upon reconstitution CTF1 should be stored at 4°C between 2-7 days and for future use below -18°C. Please avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
